IPSF

Welcome to the University of Wisconsin's International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation (IPSF) page! By being a member of WSPS you are automatically a member of ASHP and as a member of ASHP you are a part of IPSF! If you want to become a member of IPSF without being part of WSPS or ASHP you can go to the main IPSF website and follow the instructions.  http://www.ipsf.org/.
The goal of IPSF is "to study and promote the interests of pharmaceutical students and to encourage international cooperation among them." We have many opportunities to get involved in public health events concerning tobacco awareness, HIV/AIDS awareness, and health promotion in general.  As caring members of a global community, it should be our concern and desire to be aware of health issues that affect the human population.  IPSF members coordinate public health awareness campaigns that allow us to act as one to promote such issues even though we’re dispersed all over the globe.
In addition to promoting health issues that touch us all, IPSF is interest in promoting the profession of pharmacy wherever we may be.  This year we will be reaching out to high school students around the area to let them know what our wonderful profession is about.  Another way IPSF members help to improve pharmacy as a profession is to collect current pharmacy books to send to pharmacy students around the globe who may not have the same update resources that others are so fortunate to have.
Intrigued yet?  YOU SHOULD BE!  Come to WSPS Meetings, email me (fargen@wisc.edu), check the speed reads or go to www.ipsf.org to find out more.
